Kevin M Kissel, Pastor
was appointed to serve Macedonia United Methodist Church in July 2014. He has a bachelor's degree from Creighton University and a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Methodist University - Perkins School of Theology. Prior to his calling into the ministry in 1992, Kevin was in the Air Force for ten years serving his country as a Meteorologist for the National Weather System.
Kevin and his wife Karen have five wonderful children, four fantastic daughter/son-in-laws and their youngest son is engaged to be married in 2017. They consider serving as Grandpa and Grandma to their eleven grandchildren one life's greatest joys.
The Kissels find renewed joy and purpose in helping others grow in their faith and their relationship with Jesus Christ. They love getting out in nature to connect with God by hiking, cycling, kayaking, and camping as they explore new territory whenever possible. An adventure to the magnificent Big Bend National Park during the Summer of 2015 was a hallmark trip for them.
Two delightful new additions to their lives are their dogs: Hachi, an unsocialized chocolate lab abandoned near their home, and Cinnamon, a friendly pup they adopted to keep Hachi company. Having ample land with their country home makes it convenient to keep these outdoor pets. They are grateful for the beautiful setting God has placed them in, their wonderful neighbors, and especially the caring people they serve in ministry alongside.
Kevin also serves as the Pastor of New Hope United Methodist Church located at 26104 Schneider Road in the Field Store Community.
